Flambé has returned from a month-long holiday in France visiting her absentee lover, Cognac. She was hoping to rekindle their love affair, and perhaps entice Cognac to come west where they can become hopelessly en-Tangled in a series of curiously new MisAdventures.
Maybe if Flambé takes up a steady occupation, like farming, Cognac is thinking he can carry on his Tom-foolery and have a furry feline to come home to each night (or day, as the case may be). Flambé discovered she’s still smitten with this wild kitten, and was willing to give farming a try.
Really? Ag Kat? Would you do crazy things to woo your lover?

Pattern Farmer September 10, 2022.
Pattern farming, as Tanglers know
Takes strings, lines and dots; sowing seeds that grow
As ink from micron begins to flow
Slowly with care, in a ZigZag Track row.
Farmer Flambé cultivates and hoes
Patterns of whimsy rivaling Van Gogh
Weaving forests of Taiga, ‘round a Tentoculus elbow
From a Fontana meadow seeds sprout from below.
Warmed by golden-sun Fringe flaps, brightly aglow
Watered by violet storm clouds that with a Nik overflow
Rain into happy ball-shaped pots called “Emo”
And magically B-leaf greets the day with “Hello.”
Flambé’s magnificent harvest was made possible by her proclaimed “Michelangelo” of Zentangle patterns, Senor Tomas Padros. Muchas Gracias!
As always, Flambé invites you to follow her Zentangle-inspired antics (ZIAs) by visiting her page called Tangled Up, to see what trouble she always seems to find, past and present.
Wonderfully creative, Barb! About how long do you think it takes you to draw a piece like this? It’s very magnificent!

Thank you so much for commenting Karen! Flambé is overwhelmed with Kat-I-tude! Hahahah! This size (9×12”) only takes a few hours to place the lines. It’s the coloring that really slows me down. I always do my tangle are with colored pencils. Lots and lots of layers and blending. Probably all total, the coloring takes me about 8-10 hours. As I’m coloring, the story “writes” itself. After a bit of spit and polish, I’m done. So maybe 12 hours average. But it’s very “zen.”
